So my most recent crafty experiment in screenprinting is below: printing on the desk I got for $20 at a tag sale a couple of years ago. I painted it black, but that has been kind of boring. I was really excited about the metallic screenprinting ink I bought, and thought this would be fun. But then I went and painted the trim in gold as well, and I am afraid it looks too gaudy. Opinions? I can paint back over the trim before I seal it with acrylic varnish.

i dig the top detail very much! i do feel that the edging on the drawers is a bit much. it just means there’s a lot of gold bunched up together. i think it’s nice around the table top’s perimeter though.

i am with person above – i’m into the edging on the top, not so much on the drawers.
